General Maintenance Worker

About the Role

As a General Maintenance Worker, you will report to the assigned LSS LF Refurbishment Team Chief and perform all tasks and duties required for Launch Facility (LF) Refurbishment and associated support activities. Your responsibilities will include maintenance tasks as assigned by the daily schedule and ancillary support needs of the Refurbishment Section.

Responsibilities

• Perform all LF Refurbishment tasks assigned by the Team Chief, including technical tasks, crane operations, confined space operations, and in-shop work.
• Install, remove, clean, and re-install/replace LF equipment and hardware in accordance with applicable procedural directives and/or technical orders (TOs).
• Conduct inventories, inspections, cleaning, and periodic maintenance of cranes, vehicles, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Maintain all required qualifications and certifications as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW), including but not limited to:
  • NCCCO Crane Operators License
  • Confined Space Operations
  • HAZWOPER
  • Information Protection
  • Annual Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Quarterly Security Training
  • Hanta Virus Awareness
  • LSS Missile Safety
  • Explosive Safety (TBD)
  • Controlled Area Training
  • Electro-static Discharge Training
  • Technical Data System Familiarization
  • Production Inspector/Corrosion Control Identification
  • CPR
  • Product Quality Deficiency Reporting
  • Workorder Reconciliation Training
  • General Industrial Safety, including incident response and reporting
• Perform additional LSS LF Refurbishment and Corrosion Control tasks as assigned, following applicable procedures.
• Conduct Corrosion Control inspections, preventive maintenance, documentation, and treatment for launch facilities, support equipment, and real property-installed equipment in accordance with the contract SOW and applicable directives.
• Operate Maintenance Trucks (required), Boom Truck Cranes, Forklifts, and other heavy equipment as assigned.
• Perform operator care and minor Corrective and Preventive Maintenance (CCT) of company-owned vehicles, cranes, and vehicular equipment.
• Comply with and enforce Valiant company rules, policies, and process instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
