What We’re Looking For
As a General Maintenance Worker, you'll play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. Working under the guidance of a Senior General Maintenance Worker or General Maintenance Supervisor, you'll perform a wide range of building maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and general mechanical maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Bring hands-on experience in general building maintenance and facility repairs.
- Have working knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, or masonry.
- Be comfortable performing a wide range of routine maintenance and minor repair work across different building systems.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify practical solutions to maintenance issues.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team under the guidance of maintenance supervisors.
- Take pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
- Be adaptable, dependable, and ready to respond to the changing maintenance needs of County facilities.
You qualify if you meet the following:
- Two years of experience performing general building maintenance and minor repair work* in at least two (2) of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, or plumbing.
