Chenega Support Services, LLC is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in Albuquerque, NM.
About the Role
The General Maintenance Worker performs repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, systems, and structures, including lab equipment, grounds machinery, and more.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with building users.
- Performs various maintenance services.
- Diagnoses and repairs various mechanical equipment.
- Performs repairs to door systems and other general components of buildings as required.
- Repairs and maintains pumps, low voltage electrical equipment, air compressors, and miscellaneous mechanical items.
- Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC systems.
- Installs compressors, motors, and circuit boards.
- Repairs control systems.
- Performs monthly and annual emergency light inspections.
- Performs inspections on all Emergency Showers/Eyewash Stations.
- May perform specialized machine operations or parts of a trade as tasked.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Provides common hand tools used in the trade.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED.
- Minimum three (3) years of mechanical and electrical maintenance helper experience within the past three years.
- Completion of technical school or comparable training such as military and industry programs, preferred.
Skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q-level clearance.
- Proficiency using personal computer and internet service, word processing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
