General Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support one of our clients in the Northern, VA region. A Top-Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Custodial tasks:
  • Dusting, washing, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors
  • Polishing surfaces, trash collection and removal
  • Carpet cleaning
  • Replenishment of toilet and kitchen supplies
  • Use of dishwasher and stacking dishes
  • Cleaning AC/Heating supply and return vents
• Labor tasks:
  • Grass cutting
  • Changing light bulbs
  • Trimming weeds on fence lines and around parking areas
  • Blowing leaves and grass off parking lots
  • Cleaning drains in parking lots
• Areas serviced include:
  • Office areas, special purpose areas, toilet and shower areas
  • Corridors, fixtures, ash receptacles, windows
  • Lobbies, entrance ways, trash dumpster area
  • Storage areas, weight room, conference rooms
  • Garage area, kitchen areas, and building exteriors

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Specific training and thorough knowledge in facility maintenance, plus broad knowledge of other disciplines such as general math
• Ability to read and write in English
• Knowledge of applicable state and Federal laws and company policies and procedures
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Forklift experience up to 6,000 lbs (desired)
• Minimum of two (2) years of documented, verifiable training or experience with hazardous materials (desired)

Pay

$35.00–$36.00 per hour
