General Maintenance Technician (Jenks, OK)

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. In this position, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and execute repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and dock equipment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Manage parts inventory and handle vendor communications.
  • Support maintenance projects while adhering to OSHA and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical/trade school training preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license, forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift certifications.
  • Strong understanding of building systems operation and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance software, MS Word, and email communication.

Qualifications

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, meticulous documentation, and a proactive ownership attitude. You should also have a strong understanding of building systems operation and safety procedures, and proficiency with relevant tools and software.

Skills

  • Technical skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and safety.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance software.
