General Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities
- Monitor building automation systems to maintain cleanroom environment and integrity.
- Review service requests for repairs and maintenance, determine nature of problem, and recommend appropriate solution.
- Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Coordinate work with outside contractors and assure code and building standards are met.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility systems.
- Perform work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
- Review work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc.).
- Assist in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Work with or oversee subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.
- Perform all other position‑related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a related specialization.
- Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test.
- May require a valid driver’s license.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift up to 50 lb.
- Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs (at least 10 times per shift).
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting, kneeling, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.
- Ability to move in a 90‑degree fashion repeatedly.
- Ability to stretch/reach repeatedly.
- Extensive walking throughout the plant during the shift.
- Use of a company/client‑approved utility knife.
- Ability to differentiate wire color‑coding.
- Repetitive wrist movements as required.
- Interact professionally with clients under stressful conditions.
Special Requirements
- Wear steel‑toed safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
- Cope with job‑related stressors to maintain acceptable performance levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in industrial technology or a certificate from an industrial electrical course.
- Experience working as a licensed electrician.
- Knowledge of lighting, lighting control, and commercial systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3‑phase motors up to 60 hp.
- Experience with HVAC systems.
- Experience with a CMMS or maintenance management system (e.g., Maximo, MP2).
- NFPA‑70E training preferred.
Other Attributes
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $25 to $33, based on experience and other compensation factors.
Schedule
Typical work hours are Monday‑Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Hours may vary based on business demand and could shift to an AWS schedule in the future. Overtime and on‑call hours may be scheduled to support the customer.
