About the role
Provides skilled planned and corrective cross-functional maintenance and repair services including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing for designated facilities on the Columbia campus of the University of South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Develop and maintain strong customer service skills
- Maintain harmonious working relationships with departmental staff
- Work independently and maintain awareness of typical workplace hazards
Requirements
- High school graduate
- 5 years experience in a commercial or residential trades occupation (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing)
- Knowledge of national and local code requirements for trades area
- Journeyman certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical (preferred)
