About the role

The position involves leading and performing daily work orders, small capital projects, routine preventative maintenance, routine work, new installations, and cleanup. Essential duties include leading mid-level HVAC and electrical mechanics in performing intermediate preventative maintenance tasks, adhering to safety rules, and training other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform mid-level HVAC and electrical mechanics in performing intermediate preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment, examining for wear and tear, and making required repairs as needed.
  • Perform intermediate PM tasks on items such as roof drains, shop cleanup, and all other assigned areas.
  • Adhere to applicable safety rules.
  • Train other General Maintenance Technician/Trade partners with intermediate activities such as painting and priming of interior and exterior walls, hanging, and finishing sheetrock, hanging white boards, installing fixtures, etc.
  • Remain current with industry standards, best practices, and new technology.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Three (3+) years’ experience general maintenance work and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment.
  • The ability to read, understand, and communicate, both verbally and written.
  • Basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc.
  • The ability to take initiative.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Able to focus on attention to detail and follow instructions.

Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include OSHA 10 Certification or higher, CPR & First Aid Certification, and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) Certification.

Skills

Must possess the ability to read, understand, and communicate, both verbally and written. Must have basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc. Must be able to take initiative and focus on attention to detail and follow instructions.
