General Maintenance Tech

Lane Valente Industries is a leading international construction and facility maintenance company with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company maintains a strong in‑house group of field technicians that service top U.S. corporations, supported by top‑notch managers in its offices. The current opportunity is for a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel for full‑time commercial construction projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Commercial renovations and build‑outs
• Basic computer skills
• Follow OSHA requirements
• Presentable and able to communicate with customers to build relationships
• Detailed in repairs – taking measurements, pictures, providing recommendations and quotes
• Ability to work overtime and/or on‑call as workload and emergency issues dictate
• Willing and able to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in carpentry: partition framing with metal/wood studs, installation of basic cabinetry/countertops, installation of doors and windows
• Painting interior and exterior
• Flooring installation: VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares and cove base
• Basic plumbing knowledge: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged)
• Basic electrical knowledge: replacement/installation of light fixtures, switches and outlets, capable of basic data connections, able to diagnose minor electrical problems (licensed electricians encouraged)
• HVAC knowledge: refrigeration, preventive maintenance service calls
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance
• Supply basic construction hand tools
• OSHA 10‑hour certification or completion within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)
