General Maintenance Specialist

About the role

This is a key position in the museum, responsible for the day-to-day operations including exhibit maintenance (lighting, repair, in-painting, detail cleaning, etc.), care of museum objects through design and fabrication of display mounts, and assisting Head of Exhibits and Curators to improve existing displays, to design and build new visitor experiences and/or traveling exhibitions, and to install temporary exhibits in support of the Museum’s Strategic Plan. This position may also include fabrication assistance to the Education Department and Collections & Research (e.g., archival mounts).

Pay

Targeted hourly salary up to $16.31, depending on education and experience.

Monday – Friday, standard/fixed schedule.

Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date
