Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in engineering operations, including maintenance, repair of hotel property, outside grounds, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection.
- Learn and demonstrate the ability to maintain property assets, working with the Chief Engineer to understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections, and capital expenditures.
- Understand the impact of maintaining company assets on the overall financial success of the hotel property.
- Assist and respond to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel property, guest room repairs, and common area maintenance to assist guests effectively.
- Set a strong example for other associates through exceptional guest service.
- Assess and evaluate property assets through preventative maintenance, recommending maintenance service solutions to appropriate managers.
- Learn, understand, and execute all engineering standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work collaboratively with all departments to meet guest needs and contribute to the efforts of other teams when necessary.
- Complete assigned duties within or outside the normal scope of responsibilities in the engineering department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment as needed and follow all procedures for guest and associate incidents.
- Stay knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties as directed by the Chief Engineer to produce the required volume of work.
- Adhere to company attendance policy, general work rules, and department procedures.
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- CPO and appliance repair certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly throughout the shift.

Pay
The actual base pay offered ranges from $1 to $21 per hour, determined by the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, and certifications or professional licenses held.
