About the role

The General Maintenance Engineer will perform routine maintenance throughout both properties and will monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in all areas. This person should possess general troubleshooting skills to repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC equipment. They must also have some painting and patching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance throughout both properties
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in all areas
  • Repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC equipment
  • Replace light switches, outlets, and light fixtures
  • Work on basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment
  • Provide general facilities maintenance
  • Follow safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Energy Management System
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Valid drivers' license

Qualifications

  • Possess good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read and write the English language fluently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Energy Management System
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Valid drivers' license
  • Preferred: Maintenance experience in refrigeration

This position offers a rate of $22.49 per hour.
