General Maintenance Engineer - Courtyard by Marriott Tysons - Weekly Pay - $22.50/hr.

About the role
This position provides assistance in engineering operations, including maintenance, repair of hotel property, outside grounds, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection. You will uphold B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group’s high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Engineering: Learn and maintain property assets, working with the Chief Engineer to understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections, and capital expenditures. Understand how maintaining company assets impacts the hotel’s financial success.
- Guest service: Assist and respond to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service. Demonstrate knowledge of hotel property, guest room repairs, and common area maintenance. Set a strong example for other associates through exceptional guest service.
- Identifies concerns and provides maintenance solutions: Assess and evaluate property assets through preventive maintenance. Work with appropriate managers to recommend maintenance service solutions in a respectful and courageous manner.
- Follows standard operating procedures: Work with the Chief Engineer to learn, understand, and execute all engineering SOPs. Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs and complete assigned duties within or outside the normal scope of responsibilities.
- Works safely: Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations. Use personal protective equipment when needed and follow all procedures for guest/associate incidents. Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
- Self Management: Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties as directed by the Chief Engineer. Adhere to attendance policies, general work rules, and department procedures. Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- CPO and appliance repair certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly throughout the shift.

Pay
$22.50 - $22.50 an hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, and certifications or professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and bonus plans.
