General Maintenance Engineer - Casual

About the role

The General Maintenance Position at Hana-Maui Resort contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork. This role requires someone who appreciates high standards of excellence and has a desire to excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance duties including working with small hand tools, painting, drain cleaning, plumbing fixture repair, and changing light bulbs.
• Provide preventive maintenance to guest rooms, public areas, pools, and select equipment of the property.
• Update/maintain appropriate logs.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment.
• Work with forklifts to assist with checking in, distributing, and storing incoming products and guest packages.

Requirements

• Good customer service and the ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and multi-task.
• Effective communication with guests and fellow team members.
• Cleans and maintains areas as assigned.
• Strong painting skills preferred.
• Previous experience in construction and carpentry preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge/skills on tools used preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.

Pay

$25.75 per hour.

Schedule
