General Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The general maintenance engineer ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of all engineering systems within the hospitality industry. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including housekeeping, front desk, and management, to deliver exceptional service. The engineer interacts with guests, hotel staff, vendors, and management, providing technical expertise and support. Success is measured by uptime of critical systems, energy efficiency improvements, and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of all engineering systems within the hospitality industry.
• Collaborates with various teams, such as housekeeping, front desk, and management, to deliver exceptional service.
• Interacts with guests, hotel staff, vendors, and management, providing technical expertise and support.
• Measures success by uptime of critical systems, energy efficiency improvements, and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Works primarily on general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance in/on guest rooms, meeting spaces, front of house areas, back of house areas (kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems), major equipment & systems using a Windows based computer system.

Requirements

• Locksmith skills.
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics (preferred).
• Basic trouble shooting.
• Experience in Industrial, Electrical, and Building maintenance, HVAC, Chillers, and Pumps.
• Building maintenance experience required.
• Communication experience with Windows computer systems.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50lbs.
• Able to commute to St. Louis, MO 63102.
• Able to relocate to St. Louis, MO 63102 before starting work.

Qualifications
