General Liability Litigation Attorney
About the role
Morgan & Morgan is looking for an experienced General Liability Personal Injury Attorney to join its quickly growing practice of plaintiff's personal injury lawyers and supporting case staff in our growing Detroit office. The General Liability Personal Injury Attorney will handle a heavy and complex case load from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep, and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in slip and fall; security negligence; wrongful death; dog bite/animal attack; and other cases in and around Wayne County and surrounding areas.

Our law firm offers generous and competitive compensation, including a base salary, guaranteed commission, uncapped ongoing commission fees/bonuses, and a full benefits package. Each litigator is supported by a large case staff, including a dedicated paralegal and legal assistant.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases.
- Drafting and filing litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law.
- Guiding plaintiff clients through the case process.
- Interaction with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavits.
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Requirements
- Law degree (J.D.) from a fully accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (Michigan required).
- Minimum 2+ years of personal injury/premises liability experience.
- Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
