Publix is seeking a General Liability Claims Assistant to support our Risk Management team at our corporate office in Lakeland, Florida.

What You’ll Do

• Provide administrative and claims support to multiple claims adjusters and leadership
• Process incoming demand packages, including scanning media and verifying files for security
• Route claim materials appropriately and upload documentation for review
• Aid in the preparation of initial drafts of non-litigated settlement documents
• Support managers and supervisors with ad hoc projects, data corrections, and reporting needs
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation within internal systems

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management systems
• Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external partners
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 1 year of general office or administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional education or trade school training
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and document management systems
• Experience supporting a claims or legal office environment
