General Liability Associate Attorney

About the role
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our high-performing litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to defend complex cases in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and a variety of other areas. With an emphasis on client-focused service, this position offers a collaborative and dynamic environment that encourages professional growth and the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal matters. This position is available in our New York City, Long Island, or White Plains office and offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in New York
- 3-8 years litigation experience, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense
- Experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters is highly preferred
- Understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA proceedings are a plus
- Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Legal project management experience is helpful
Pay
Salary Range: $150,000 USD - $190,000 USD. A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
