Report this job About The Role We're looking for an experienced General Ledger & Tax Accountant to own our core financial accounting, reporting, and tax planning. This is a great fit for a hands-on accounting professional from a manufacturing background who's ready to take ownership of the monthly close, tax compliance, and financial reporting — while also mentoring junior accounting staff. What You'll Do General Ledger & Month-End Close Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processesManage and maintain general ledger accounts and bookkeepingReconcile inter-company balancesHandle accrued expenses and amortization of prepaid expensesAccount for fixed assets and construction-in-progress Tax Management Manage and file various taxes and fees (e.g., sales tax, property tax)Apply for and maintain sales tax certificatesPartner with tax authorities on inspections and support annual audits Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual comprehensive financial reportsConsolidate and analyze company base data and reportingCoordinate year-end financial statement completionAnalyze revenue and expenditure trends; monitor budget executionIdentify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve fund utilization; recommend improvements to cash/fund management Leadership & Process Supervise and mentor accounting team members; support on-the-job trainingPartner with the Finance Manager to optimize financial systems and accounting workflowsAssign, coordinate, review, and guide day-to-day accounting workMaintain strict security and confidentiality standards for accounting vouchers, seals, and files What You'll Need Bachelor's degree or above in Financial Management, Accounting, or related field5+ years of financial/accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing companyStrong working knowledge of finance, accounting, and financial management practices; familiarity with tax and customs mattersProficiency in SAP and Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge of economic law, relevant tax laws, and local regulationsStrong communication and influencing skills, solid problem-solving ability, and a systematic, detail-oriented approachHigh integrity and discretion in handling confidential company and financial informationResilient, collaborative, and able to build trust across internal and external stakeholders Disclaimer The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
