General Ledger Analyst

About the role

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a General Ledger Analyst in the Wheeling, WV office.

Responsibilities

  • All domestic and international office accounting. Act as liaison with accounting staff in those offices.
  • Daily cash management, including wiring, balancing to the bank and determining the daily cash position of the firm.
  • Daily trust activities.
  • Daily and/or monthly reconciliation and analysis of general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Assisting with year-end audit requests.
  • Assisting the Accounts Payable department with invoicing and vendor management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of experience in an accounting position required.
  • Excellent analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computerized general ledger systems (CMS) with advanced knowledge of Excel, along with working knowledge of MS Word applications, and operating in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as, independently.
  • Excellent customer service experience required.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors including qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, and geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
