About the role
Hunter Contracting Co. is a family-owned, heavy civil contracting firm serving Arizona since 1961. We are seeking General Laborers to assist construction crews with various duties.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning or preparing construction site to eliminate hazards
- Demolishing and/or placing construction materials
- Measuring, marking or recording layout areas for construction
- Sigaling equipment operators to align and adjust machinery
- Loading, unloading materials, machinery, tools and distributing to appropriate locations and personnel
Work Qualifications
- Has a great deal of awareness of soil conditions and proper slopes
- Able to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions
- Able to stand, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, crouch for long periods
- Able to work and communicate well with team members
- Takes pride in craftsmanship
- Works within precise standards of accuracy
- Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines
- Practices good safety habits
Education & Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum one (1) years' experience in the construction industry in highway/street & road construction
