GENERAL LABORER - Roll Change Department (Night Shift)

About the role

Franklin Industries is seeking hard-working, hands-on employees for our Roll Change Department. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, mechanical skills/aptitude, or assembly experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow safety requirements and work procedures
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Collaborate with team members to perform work safely
• Complete accurate documentation
• Maintain thorough communication

Working Conditions

• Safety-sensitive position involving heavy machinery
• PPE provided by the company (with few exceptions)
• Exposure to some liquids/chemicals
• Shop environment with varying temperatures
• Work both indoors and outdoors

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Concentrate for long periods while multi-tasking
• Perform repetitive tasks with hands, arms, and legs
• Twist and reach as required
• Lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule

Night shift: 8 PM or 10 PM – 6 AM, Sunday night through Thursday night, with Friday nights as scheduled. Expected hours: 40–58 per week.

Pay

Starting pay: $18.00/hour. Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours. Eligible for merit raises and cross-training opportunities after a 90-day probationary period.
