GENERAL LABORER - Roll Change Department (Night Shift)
About the role
Franklin Industries is seeking hard-working, hands-on employees for our Roll Change Department. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, mechanical skills/aptitude, or assembly experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and follow safety requirements and work procedures
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Collaborate with team members to perform work safely
- Complete accurate documentation
- Maintain thorough communication
Working Conditions
- Safety-sensitive position involving heavy machinery
- PPE provided by the company (with few exceptions)
- Exposure to some liquids/chemicals
- Shop environment with varying temperatures
- Work both indoors and outdoors
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Concentrate for long periods while multi-tasking
- Perform repetitive tasks with hands, arms, and legs
- Twist and reach as required
- Lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule
Night shift: 8 PM or 10 PM – 6 AM, Sunday night through Thursday night, with Friday nights as scheduled. Expected hours: 40–58 per week.
Pay
Starting pay: $18.00/hour. Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours. Eligible for merit raises and cross-training opportunities after a 90-day probationary period.
