General Laborer (Landscaping)

Apex Companies is a fast-growing environmental consulting and engineering firm in Fort Worth, TX. We are seeking a General Laborer (Landscaping) to support the maintenance of stormwater infrastructure on commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Routine landscape maintenance and light repairs of stormwater systems and infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets)
- Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties
- Operate landscaping and light construction equipment
- Travel from the shop to client sites locally and regionally using the company truck. 5 days per month is typical (Monday - Friday)
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience with manual labor, outdoor experience preferred
- Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials preferred
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally required
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation required
Qualifications
- Due to DOT interstate transportation requirements, employees must meet the minimum requirement of 21 years of age
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
Skills
- Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e., bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.)
- Work in a variety of weather conditions

Pay
Expected Pay Range: $18 USD - $21 USD
Schedule
Full Time, 40-55 hours per week (Monday-Friday, overtime opportunities)
Regional Travel
Required, typically 5 days per month ($59 per diem on travel days)
Benefits
Eligible for our Summer travel bonus! On the 5th day of out-of-town travel and beyond per month, you could earn a $100 out-of-town travel bonus per day of travel.
