General Laborer- Heavy

About the role

Night Shift Monday - Thursday 4:15 pm to 4:45 am
PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits available on the first day of the month after hire, 401K after 6 months.

Specific Duties

• Tending CNC Machines in cooperation with operators, maintenance, and management.
• Handling product, both raw material and finished product, including assisting in setups.
• Utilizing overhead cranes and fork trucks to assist with heavy rigging.
• Packing and handling large components for shipment.
• Performing other operations as directed by plant manager and gaining skills that can be learned on the job.

Physical Demands

• Moderate physical and mental stress.
• Standing, sitting, twisting, bending, and stooping will be regular occurrences.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance.

Work Environment

• Heated shop floor environment, no air conditioning.
• Exposure to occasional fumes from paint, cleaners, adhesives or similar.
• PPE use is required.
• Some minor exposure to debris, dust, or other particulates can be expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or other warehouse setting preferred but not required.
• Must be mechanically inclined and trainable, as many tasks are unique to the facility and require training.
• Must be able to follow verbal or written directions accurately.
• Ideal candidate will be well-organized, industrious, and hard-working, with attention to detail and the ability to work with cross-functional teams from a variety of disciplines.
