General Laborer

About the role

Techo-Bloc is seeking a full-time General Laborer to join our dynamic team in Pen Argyl, PA. We are a company dedicated to innovation and excellence in landscaping products.

Responsibilities

• Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color and consistency.
• Complete block checks, remove defective pieces, and replace them with quality pieces.
• Package finished product neatly and securely, including adding packaging materials, top sheet, labels, and conducting final QC.
• Assist machine operators and perform various maintenance tasks as directed.
• Follow established policies and procedures to meet QA standards.
• Maintain a clean workstation and assist with plant clean-up.
• Wear personal protective equipment and ensure safe behavior.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
• Behave in accordance with Techo-Bloc’s vision, mission, and values.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Collaborative communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of manufacturing experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

The General Laborer must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. They must be able to closely inspect materials and products, identify color blends, variances, and non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. The employee must be able to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations, ascend and descend steps and ladders, and position themselves in tight spaces. Additionally, they must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
