Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on state facilities, grounds, and infrastructure, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain state-owned grounds by mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and watering vegetation.
- Remove debris, fallen branches, and litter from parks, roads, and public spaces.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including leaf removal, snow removal, and ice control.
- Clean and maintain public buildings, offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a sanitary and safe environment.
- Operate and maintain state-owned vehicles, lawnmowers, tractors, and other heavy equipment, as assigned.
- Assist in receiving and storing supplies, ensuring proper handling and organization.

Knowledge And Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, digging, raking, and operating hand tools.

- Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to operate maintenance and landscaping equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
