Responsibilities
- Perform basic shop operations: sandblasting, part washing, trimming parts, and assisting Spinners with material handling or torch use.
- Assist Shipping & Receiving with packaging and crating of products.
- Move supplies and jobs to workstations using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain and clean production areas, including painting or washing machines and equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance and cleaning of the building.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs as needed.
- Work in the FanDuct Flow Line as directed.
- Operate Robotic cells as directed.
- Actively explore opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
- Complete job assignments as directed by the Manufacturing Manager.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and participate in audits as required.
Safety
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Follow all company rules, including EH&S policy and federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by company policies or management direction.
- Report all unsafe conditions, accidents, and injuries immediately to management.
Housekeeping
- Actively participate in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the company.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
- Store and maintain tools, equipment, and gauges according to company standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to company expectations.
- Perform daily cleaning and sweeping of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Empty trash and waste as needed.
- Remove personal items from workstations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of following directions and taking responsibility for production efficiency and quality.
- Demonstrate customer focus by understanding and responding to internal and external customer needs.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate openly and honestly.
- Proactively solve problems and contribute to continuous process/product improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, heat, or dust.
- Regularly required to move, sit, and bend for various hours throughout the day.
