GENERAL LABORER

About the role

Perform material handling operations in various departments, including cutting lumber and building crates per specifications, sorting materials or products for processing/storing/shipping, custodial assistance and grounds keeping, loading/unloading items from machines and paint line, and verification of parts inventory within factory departments.

Responsibilities

• Cut lumber and build crates per specifications
• Sort materials or products for processing, storing, and shipping
• Perform various custodial assistance and grounds keeping activities
• Load and unload items from machines and paint line
• Verify parts inventory within factory departments
• Report all injuries, cuts, bumps, burns, etc. to the supervisor as soon as they occur
• Keep up to date on Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and follow prescribed precautions; if anything is not understood, contact the supervisor
• Keep area neat and clean, free of paper, cups, cans, aerosol cans, etc.
• Report any safety concerns to the supervisor as soon as they are noticed
