General Laborer

About the role

Northwest Hardwoods Inc. is a world‑class, integrated global supplier of wood products to the furniture, cabinet, molding, and millwork industries. This full‑time General Laborer position is located in Dorchester, WI and works the 1st & 2nd shifts. The company seeks a team‑player with a can‑do attitude who enjoys a challenge.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by knowing, understanding, and following NWH safety rules.
• Handle, sort, and stack sanded lumber by dimension, species, and grade.
• Maintain product flow safely.
• Utilize hand tools and wheel barrows; clean up sawmill debris.
• Operate mobile equipment.
• Make quick decisions using hand‑eye‑hand‑foot coordination.
• Cross‑train in other positions as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety‑conscious with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and be detail‑oriented.
• Pre‑employment drug screen and background check required.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
