General Laborer

About the Role

Harrison Western, founded in 1968, has provided superior design and construction services to the mining and tunneling industries for over 50 years, as well as geotechnical and other unique services to civil projects. Headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, we have completed over $2 billion in mining and construction development projects, ranging geographically from the Arctic to the Andes. This position is for our Utah location.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader with construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work
• Follow and adhere to Harrison Western safety procedures and techniques
• Keep the worksite clean and safe
6li>Follow project instructions from crew lead, foreman, or superintendent
• Ensure regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
• Follow all health and safety policies and regulations, including company policies, OSHA, and MSHA
• Operate hand and power tools to complete daily tasks
• Unload tools, prepare site materials, set up equipment, and organize the job site
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials
• Load, identify, and distribute materials, machinery, or tools to appropriate locations according to project plans and safety features
• Operate heavy equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction experience, either above or underground
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the nation
• Ability to take direction from leadership
li>Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Work in standing, sitting, or other physical positions
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
• Ability to obtain ATF possessor preferred

Qualifications

Entry-level position with required skills and abilities as listed above.

Pay

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
