General Laborer
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Set up and operate uncoiler and recoiler controls and arms and other slitter related equipment.
- Aid operator on operation of slitter and packaging equipment.
- Properly tag customer size on cuts and package according to written and verbal instruction.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating and assisting on equipment such as coil cart, banding tools, overhead cranes, forklifts.
- Absorb when slitter is not running.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work area.
- Must follow all safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical ability and aptitude with some relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to operate basic hydraulic and electrical controls.
- Basic math skills and understanding of decimal and fraction conversions.
- Quality control of material and work per specifications.
- Overhead crane or forklift competence for training.
- Banding equipment operation ability.
- Quality product production within a reasonable time frame.
- Understanding and performing work as per work order instructions.
- Able to stand for entire work time.
- Able to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout shift.
- Able to work in hot/cold, dusty/dirty environments.
