THE POSITION Preferred Required As a General laborer, you must be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. It is preferred if you have familiarity with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security. However, not required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
• Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using cement mixers.
• Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, etc.
• Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
• Provide assistance and support to skilled trade workers, such as carpenters, concrete finishers, or masons.
• Other duties as assigned.
