General Laboratory Support Temporary Assignments

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lab routines
• Order supplies and monitor inventory
• Maintain equipment service records and contracts
• Feed and water animals, clean cages
• Maintain records of research, laboratory stocks, inventory, and purchasing

Duties vary based on departmental needs and may include additional tasks not listed above. Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.

Requirements

• Previous laboratory experience demonstrating ability to follow research protocol
• Ability to keep an experimental laboratory notebook as instructed
• Working knowledge of good laboratory practices, especially safety
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment
