General Labor Pool
Duties/Responsibilities
- Sorts and stacks of lumber off of machine centers which includes grading, cleaning, wrapping product, banding and tagging.
- Bands, wraps, ensures for final quality and prepares items for shipping.
- Understands required grade/quality and inspects finished products for quality standards.
- Understands, observes and promotes all safety policies and procedures.
- Operates additional equipment related to production.
- Reports production accurately through utilized programs.
- Reports work progress to Production Management.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of lumber grading.
- Basic math as it relates to lumber.
- Basic understanding of technology for the operation of electronics for inventory.
Physical Demands
- Able to consistently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
- 90% of work to be performed in an environment subject to weather, noise, and dust.
