Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction, grading, excavation, or sitework experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work on uneven terrain.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Outdoor construction sites.
• Exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.

Job Description

Aid in site preparation, grading, excavation, and utility installation tasks. Duties include hand digging, trenching, backfilling, compaction, installing and maintaining erosion control measures, loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with pipe installation, drainage structures, and underground utility work. Responsibilities also involve grade checking, stake placement, and site cleanup. Direct traffic and equipment movement when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment issues promptly to supervisors. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
