Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks in production areas including molding, melting, shakeout, finishing, and material handling.
- Absorb raw materials, molds, cores, castings, and finished products.
- Operate basic hand tools and powered equipment as trained and authorized.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas by sweeping, shoveling sand, disposing of scrap, and removing debris.
- Assist skilled trades or machine operators as directed.
- Follow all safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and foundry safety standards.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
- Support quality requirements by handling materials and products in accordance with work instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with classification and union agreement.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a hot, dusty, noisy industrial environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work safely and comply with all Company and OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
- Prior manufacturing or foundry experience preferred.
- Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical aids as required.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including respirators, face shields, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.

Pay
$21.80 per hour
Schedule
1st shift- 4:00AM -2:30PM Monday-Friday (OT when required)
