About the Role

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all Melt and Mold operations and all applicable equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean-Up
• Breaks for all foundry personnel
• Magnet Crane Operation
• Charge Bucket Operation
• Furnace Operation
• Bull Ladle (Hot Metal Carrier) Operation
• Inoculation
• DISA Molding Machine Operation
• Perform tasks in a safe, efficient manner with regard to production requirements, procedures, work instructions, and the safety of fellow employees and equipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively organize multiple tasks
• Refer to “Training Matrix” for additional requirements and competencies specific to this job title

Work Environment

Inside and outside, noisy, dusty – sand and metal airborne particulate. Work in close proximity to molten iron. Radiant heat and warm temperatures in the department; climate changes with weather when going outside to perform duties. Work with moving machinery and overhead cranes. Working on platforms and uneven flooring surfaces.
