About The Role
We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery-Production team member to join our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. In this role, you will support consistent, safe, and high-quality food production by monitoring automated systems, verifying product quality, maintaining sanitation standards, and communicating adjustments to ensure compliant and efficient manufacturing operations.
Schedule
- Shift: 1st
- Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM
- Weekend Availability: Required
Pay
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $19.25
Responsibilities
- Monitor automated production systems and key process parameters to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Inspect products throughout the line to verify quality, spacing, alignment, and weight specifications.
- Communicate process deviations, equipment concerns, or quality issues promptly to line leadership.
- Maintain sanitation, food safety, and GMP standards across assigned production areas.
- Support efficient material flow and equipment performance across proofing, baking, and cooling operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through AOE practices, Centerline, CIL, and root cause analysis participation.
- Uphold a safe, organized, and compliant work environment at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality or process deviations.
- Basic mechanical awareness and ability to report equipment issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow GMPs, food safety, and safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in bakery or food manufacturing operations.
- Experience working with automated or continuous production lines.
- Familiarity with proofing, baking, cooling, or weighing processes.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing activities.
- Ability to train or support others using standard work procedures.
