General Labor

About the role

As a General Labor team member at Cincinnati Fan (part of SPX Technologies’ Engineered Air Movement platform), you will perform a variety of production tasks—including assembly, material handling, paint-line support, packaging, and machine operation—while working safely, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety
  • Follow all safety rules and adhere to the core value of the business.
  • Maintain general work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure proper and effective operation of machines and tools throughout the entire process.
  • Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor.
• Quality
  • Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets.
  • Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects.
  • Self-monitor quality of own work; report unusual, defective, or operating difficulties to lead or supervisor.
  • Complete all tasks within designed quality guidelines.
  • Accurately document work performed using company-required documents and procedures.
• Delivery
  • Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods from production equipment.
  • Hang and unhang moving parts from the paint line.
  • Assemble products according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
  • Package and prepare finished products for shipment per customer requirements/work order.
  • Perform assigned production tasks while meeting established safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Be punctual, on time, and ready to work the designated shift every day.

Requirements

• Required Experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive work throughout the shift.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, fabrication, or industrial experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience using computerized manufacturing or production-tracking systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
• Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
