About the role

Pacific Coast Producers is seeking General Labor associates for its Production Facility in The Dalles, OR. This is a full-time, on‑site position that requires working various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed. The role is part of a seniority‑based collective bargaining unit and offers advancement opportunities based on demonstrated abilities and achievements.

Responsibilities

• Provide general labor services as instructed by supervisor or management team.
• Grade, sort, or classify fruit by size, weight, color, or condition.
• Clean and maintain work areas.
• Label and prepare products for shipment.
• Follow all plant safety policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to safely walk, climb stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces to reach the work location.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor/management and understand safety notices and signs.
• Must be able to work any of the three shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• Physical requirements: frequent walking, bending, standing, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 lb frequently; touching, reaching, gripping, finger dexterity, and hearing.
• Moderate physical activity may include stooping, color identification, close vision, and depth perception.
• Under strenuous conditions, employees must still perform job requirements safely.
• Environmental factors: exposure to plant temperature extremes, dampness, humidity, fumes, and high noise levels; work requires proper protective equipment; may involve rotating machinery and crowded areas.

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, on‑site role; weekend and overtime hours required when needed; work on various shifts as part of the collective bargaining unit.
