About the role

The position is available for hourly full-time work at Carson Container located at 1350 E. 223rd Street, Carson, CA 90745.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks safely in accordance with company rules and facility guidelines
• Counting and stacking finished product
• Reading factory orders
• Safely operate necessary areas of machinery
• Utilize basic shop math while inspecting product (reading tape measure, gauges, and other testing equipment)
• Effectively follow directions to complete quality inspections and administrative document checks with accuracy
• Ensure proper housekeeping of the work area is clean, organized, and maintained especially during production downtimes
• Perform clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding scrap
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Ability to work with a safety-first mindset and actively participate in the IP safety culture
• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Able to perform physical, hands-on tasks in various departments
• Able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays if necessary
• Willingness to learn production processes
• Able to work in a team setting with a fast-paced environment
• Organizing skills, basic math skills, comprehension skills, and safety observations
• Able to effectively communicate with the team, productions supervisors, and maintenance crew
