Responsibilities

• Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments.
• Perform general labor tasks, banding and weighing coils, operating mobile equipment, performing necessary cleaning as required.
• Assist in packaging of product for internal and external use.
• Assist in changeover with other production teammates.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, moving, weighing, and banding of finished product.
• Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks and machine operators as needed.
• Ensure accurate coil identification and proper packaging of finished product based on customer requirements.
• Assist machine operators as needed.
• Operate all mobile production equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety and policy manuals).
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior metals experience preferred
