About the role
The primary function of the General Helper position is to safely perform a wide range of tasks that include conducting quality checks, material set up, assisting crew members, and maintaining a clean and organized space.
Responsibilities
- Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled.
- Prepare for operations, check and/or perform any necessary completion of work from the previous shift.
- Clean area throughout the shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
- Help assist or operate machinery to expected performance levels.
- Assist with machinery operations during upset conditions.
- Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals.
- Assist crew members and work in a team environment.
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by confidentiality or privacy standards or company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Good computer skills, ability to track inventory in a computer.
- Able to communicate with all team members and adhere to safety regulations.
- Must be a team player, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to multi-task in an environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Able to read a tape measure and use a wrench.
- Ability to operate a fork truck and/or clamp truck is preferred.
- Able to meet company quality and performance standards for the job as specified.
- Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
- Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol and apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Physical Demands

Work Environment

- Able to work in a tobacco-free environment.
- Able to wear safety glasses, earplugs, hard hat, steel-toe boots, and any other required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
