General Helper - 1st shift

1st shift Packaging: Monday–Friday, some Saturday possible; 07:00 am–4:30 pm (times could vary).

Responsibilities

• Perform bagging of product in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform tracking of product to eliminate out-of-spec product.
• Assist with tracking, bagging, and labeling product.
• Perform pan dumping in a timely manner without smashing product.
• Follow all company guidelines.
• Follow all plant and corporate safety and food-safety policies and procedures.
• Report safety incidents to supervisor/management immediately.
• Report food-safety concerns to supervisor/management immediately.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Participate in plant audit and inspection preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to push or pull up to 200 pounds on wheeled equipment.
• Be able to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching.
• Be able to stand for the majority of the shift.
• Be able to read/write in English.
• Be able to work in high ambient temperatures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months food-manufacturing experience preferred.
