General Foreman

About the role

This role supports the Electric division by leading field operations and overseeing the execution of large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects. You’ll be responsible for crew coordination, on-site communication, quality, and performance. Success in this role means delivering safe, high-quality installations on time and on budget—all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
  • Ensure all work meets code, contract specs, and project deadlines
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for assigned projects
  • Direct self-performed crews and subcontractors in the field
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries to stay on schedule
  • Track project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and submit required deliverables
  • Enforce safety protocols and support job site safety initiatives
  • Oversee quality control and ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Communicate with stakeholders and escalate issues when needed
  • Support field reporting with accurate, timely updates
  • Mentor and coach field teams on execution and best practice
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Adapt quickly to changes in schedule, scope, or priorities

Qualifications

  • Journeyman License with 5+ years of experience as a Foreman or Project Lead
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, codes, and construction methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, customers, and personnel simultaneously
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to make confident, project-minded decisions
  • Independent, team-focused work style and a drive to mentor others
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%) with overnight stays as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and a history of safe, competent driving
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Pay

Pay Range: $44/hr.–$55/hr. plus per diem, incentive opportunities, or other applicable compensation details.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Travel up to 100% with overnight stays as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to dig, backfill, and lift/carry up to 80 pounds
