General Finance Intern - Summer

About the role

The Finance Internship Program is a 12‑week early‑career program designed to expose interns to Carrier’s business segments and finance functions at a NYSE‑listed company with market‑leading products and services used worldwide. Interns will build on their formal education while developing a professional network and experiencing a culture that values ethics, sustainability, and financial performance. The program strengthens analytical and communication skills and offers networking across multiple business functions and segments, as well as exposure to current Finance Leadership Program (FLP) associates and alumni.

Responsibilities

• Support one of Carrier’s business segments or functions, such as WHQ, HVAC, or Transportation.
• Perform duties defined by the Finance team you are assigned to (e.g., Controllership & Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operations or Factory Finance, or other Finance areas).
• Participate actively in presentations, training sessions, networking opportunities, and program events.

Requirements

Basic qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior work experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership roles in extracurricular organizations or part‑time jobs while in school.
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $43,500 – $87,500, depending on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. The range will not be below the applicable minimum wage.

Other Compensation

This position may be eligible for short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
