General Education Teaching Assistant (Temporary)
About the role
The Dobbs Ferry School District seeks a temporary (leave replacement) General Education Teaching Assistant at Springhurst Elementary School, effective August 31, 2026 - December 23, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional services to students under general supervision of a certified teacher.
- Aid in the development of educational material.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- NYSED Level I Teaching Assistant certification.
Qualifications
Salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with the CSEA Clerical, Teacher Aide/Teaching Assistant contract.
Physical Demands
- Stand, walk and sit.
- Climb, squat, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Reach above the head and reach forward.
- Use hands and fingers to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Talk and hear.
- Lift and/or push up to 50 pounds (occasionally).
Benefits
The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE legislation effective July 1, 2001.
Pay
$28,550.00 - $39,505.00 (Annual wage per contract CSEA Clerical, Teaching Assistant/Teacher Aide)
Schedule
Effective August 31, 2026 - December 23, 2026
