The Role
This position is for a General Education Paraprofessional at a charter school in South Jordan, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction
- Assist with student academic progress
- Provide additional support to teachers and students
- Work under the direction of a certified teacher
Requirements
- Pass the PRAXIS exam, or hold an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree)
- Previous teaching experience may be preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements
Skills
- Knowledge of Utah State Core Curriculum
- Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching methodology
