About the Role
We are looking for a General Counsel to serve as the top legal executive and chief legal advisor to the CEO and board. You will own the global legal strategy, corporate governance, commercial and M&A legal work, and the enterprise compliance and risk program.
Responsibilities
- Own the global legal strategy and serve as chief legal advisor to the CEO and board.
- Lead corporate governance, board matters, and entity management.
- Oversee commercial contracts, M&A legal work, and negotiations.
- Own the global compliance program and enterprise legal risk management.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and outside counsel.
- Build and lead the global legal function.
Requirements
- 12+ years of legal experience, including senior in-house leadership.
- JD and active bar admission in good standing.
- Command of corporate, commercial, M&A, and compliance law.
- Experience managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience advising boards and executive teams.
- Experience building and leading legal teams.
- Sound judgment balancing legal risk and business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public-company / securities law experience.
- Significant M&A legal experience.
- Regulatory experience in the client's markets.
- Multi-jurisdiction / global operations experience.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $450,000 to $545,000, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
