General Counsel

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a Media environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including software licensing and SaaS agreements
• Provide legal guidance to Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure compliance with laws
• Develop and implement corporate policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws and industry trends to advise on business operations
• Collaborate with external counsel on specialized legal matters and litigation
• Assist in corporate governance, entity formation, and maintenance of records
• Support the General Counsel and leadership on special projects and initiatives

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
• 2-4 years of legal experience in corporate settings and/or law firms
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and intellectual property law
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Experience in the technology or SaaS industry is preferred

Pay

$250,000 – $300,000 annually
